I’ve had some calls or messages from people expressing what my music, and now blogs, have done for them. Many of these people I didn’t even know. Some I hear from years later, seemingly, just out of no where. I’m so grateful for that. God encourages His children. I pray the music or blogs God has given me to write, by the power of His Spirit, lives long after I’m gone. But you know, if I’m being honest, there may be some people whose feelings I’ve hurt, or some who’ve been negatively impacted by a harsh word or two. I hope not, but I’m sure they’re out there. I hope those I’ve blessed far out number those I’ve hurt. It doesn’t matter the numbers however, because if one persons life has been harmed, it matters.
And that’s the point . What you do, what you say, how you respond, matters. By the way, if you’re reading, and I’ve negatively impacted your life, I am deeply, deeply sorry. (Sidebar: added because I love you; when God brings you around to those you’ve harmed, use that opportunity to say you’re sorry. Don’t be so arrogant that you miss your restoring opportunity!)
Each of us meet people every day whose lives we impact. You may not think anything you’ve done, any word you said, or song you’ve sung, message you shared, made any difference because too often we think, unless fame, wealth or status is attached, what you do is meaningless. It’s not.
I remember several times struggling in prayer asking God if what I did mattered, because I let my circumstances or seeming failures, or what I was led to believe in my social world, determine my worth. Soon after, a call would come and someone would ask me to sing for them over the phone or pray for them. I’m not talking about concerts or speaking engagements, but singular people, real lives impacted by my gifts. I realized, that as long as I have breath, what I do, what I say, impacts someone’s life.
You are here to bless. Your circumstances and how you respond to them is either blessing or a hinderance to someone else. What you say can do good or overwhelming harm. You, my friend are God’s ambassador, in a world, hungry to see His love in action. No one may applaud you publicly. You may not get paid or even supported, but, what you do really, really matters. Do what God has destined for you and let nothing and no one stop you, or anything in life discourage your moving forward.
What you do, what you say, and how you respond to life, can directly impact someone in such a way ,they will follow your lead. You can not be on this earth without having an impact of someone else’s life. You my friend are an important part of the body of Christ. As you start out today, this week, pray, read, encourage yourself and be the best part of the “body” you were destined to be!

1 Corinthians 12. “There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences in ministeries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God, WHO WORKS IN ALL”. (4,5,6).
Our body needs you! Happy Monday #noelettesings
