Happy Thanksgiving

It’s been a  year since many of us were together.  It’s been a time of testing like never before. We’ve experienced loss in abundance.  Every month I’ve lost a friend or friends, even up to  yesterday.  Are we clear, life’s not promised?  And yet while we endure  separation, loss of income, sickness, and oh so much more, which one of us can’t attest to the goodness of God?  In spite of a national theme of hatred, in spite of the pestilence called covid impacting the entire world, love has shown through, healing of souls has come.  We’ve established a stronger faith, trust and hope in God.   Fences have been or will be mended.  Lessons have been, or will be learned.    Purpose has been realized,  we’ve prayed more consistently, and studied more diligently.  When this is over, we will be better for it!  Determine to be better!   Today more than food, we celebrate life.   We see more clearly, appreciate more fully and hope has not died!  We see with clearer vision those who love and those who pretended!  And it is still well with our souls!      Today say you’re sorry, today, encourage, today laugh, today love!   Today be kind and less critical.  Today remember God gave you the grace to get to this point!   Extend that grace to someone else!   Jesus is coming, I’m going to be ready, therefore;  “I then shall live as one who’s been forgiven. I’ve been so loved that I’ll risk loving you”.   Today I will have a thankful Thanksgiving!
