Psalm 121: 1-8. I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved. He that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
I woke up too early this morning, 12:30 am. I don’t usually do that, but every now and then it happens. When it happens I try to go back to sleep, but when that doesn’t happen, I pray; not necessarily to go back to sleep, but I figure, maybe that’s why I’m awake so early. Sometimes I watch tv, just mindless listening, but that does nothing. Time wasted.
This morning, after praying, and reading I decided to go on fb and the first post I saw was a friend asking who else was up! I noticed a similarity of those who responded, and I thought wow, maybe there’s a message here; maybe there’s a purpose. Sometimes I overthink, I’ll admit! But ahh not today!
As I prayed, the Spirit gave me this Psalm, and as I pondered over it and really read it, I saw it more clearly; almost as if I never read it before! This is my No More Monday Morning Blues message. This is my first day of March message for you the reader, and me, the author who seemingly woke up too early!
A beautiful message and promise from God: No matter what the hour, God is wide awake and available to hear! I can pray at any time and I’m assured, He hears because He never sleeps! If our Father never sleeps, not even lightly, He’s available 24/7! He’s available, wide awake! He’s keeping you! He’s awake to listen, to help us figure out, reflect, praise, seek. He’s available, when anxiety keeps you up, or when you’re feeling alone, when He’s wants you to create, or when you need to figure things out! He’s available! When you’re feeling your safety is compromised, or evil will have the last word, He’s available, He keeps you safe and keeps you in existence, when others try to obliterate you; us! When after years of challenges and seeming lack of answers, God has never missed one day of your test, trial, heartache. He’s, been there, is there and will help, will deliver, will answer! So lift up your heart and speak, He’s there, 24/7! Trust the process, trust the promise!
It’s 3:03, now I’ll sleep!
